CCECA is a member-owned, non-profit electric cooperative that provides its members with the most reliable electric service at the lowest price possible. Originating on June 7, 1938 with 98 members in the area, CCECA now serves over 9,669 members in Cooke, Montague, Grayson, Wise and Denton counties.
The Cooperative maintains over 3,262.28 miles of overhead and underground distribution lines averaging 4.92 meters per mile of line for a total of over 16,042 meters, as of December 31, 2016. Cooke County Electric Cooperative Association, Inc. purchases its power from Brazos Electric Power Cooperative, a generation and transmission supplier organized in 1941 to provide electric distribution cooperatives, like CCECA, with dependable electric power at the lowest possible cost.
The principles on which CCECA were founded—keeping electric rates competitive, our service reliable, and dedication to the members we serve—are just as strong today as the day we opened the doors in 1938. We have 60 dedicated employees ready to serve our members and maintain reliable service.
We strive to provide a very personal touch to each member whether in person or by phone. Even though we presently maintain a high level of customer service and customer relations, we continue to solicit your constructive suggestions for further improvements in the operations of our organization.
